About Jae Hee Min

As a native of South Korea, pianist Jae Hee Min has started playing piano from the age of 5. Ms. Min had entered the Juilliard Pre-College division at an early age and was trained under the tutelage of Herbert Stessin and Seymour Lipkin as the youngest student in both studios.

Ms. Min has won numerous competitions around the world, including 1st prize at The Puigcerda International Piano Competition, 1st prize at BAC Music Competition, 1st prize at NY International Music Compeition, 3rd prize at International Competition OPUS, 1st prize at The NY Korea Times Competition, 1st prize at The Music Journal Competition in Korea, Rutgers Symphony Orchestra’s Concerto Competition, Carles & Sofia International Piano Competition, and Golden Classical Awards International Music Competition.

The repertoire of Ms. Min spans a wide range of solo and chamber works, striving to incorporate innovative and unique combination of traditional and contemporary music to make her performances more interesting. She has performed at Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Merkin Hall, Seoul National Grand Theater, Yurim Recital Hall, Hoam Arts Center, and also at numerous cathedrals and concert halls in US, Korea, Spain, France, Italy, and Austria.

Ms. Min has also performed in numerous festivals worldwide, including Vienna Concerto Fest, Perugia International Music Festival, and Brevard Music Festival, to name a few.

After completing her undergraduate studies at Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Donn-Alexander Feder, Ms. Min. continued to pursue a master’s studies under the tutelage of Marc Silverman. Currently, Min is pursuit of Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Rutgers University while teaching at The College of New Jersey, Rutgers University Extension Division, and working with her own studio in New York City. She also serves as a staff pianist at the Kaufman Music Center. 

As an experienced teacher, Ms. Min strives to customize her lesson for each and every student, making sure that each musical step is approached with a thorough plan and effective strategies which will lead the student closer to an optimal progress.
